Getting to Butuan City

If you're travelling from an international port, you will have to enter the Philippines thru one of its international airports (Manila, Cebu, Davao). The easiest and fastest way to get to Butuan from Luzon (Manila) or from Cebu is to fly with Philippine Air Lines (PAL). Daily flights from Manila (MIA, Manila International Airport Terminal 2) can be taken to Butuan City's Bancasi Airport (BXU).
Contact also the local PAL office in Butuan City Tel : (85) 341-5156; 341-5257 located near to junction Juan Luna Str/Gomez Str.) or the Check-in counter at Bancasi Airport. For webinfo visit the website of:
Philippine Airlines.
Traveling by overnight interisland ships maybe another way of hopping yourself from island to island. You get a cot or a single bunkbed. Depending on how much you pay (differentiated by classes), your sleeping area may be in an air-conditioned room or on the covered deck. I do not recommend this mode of travel if you're sensitive to motion. The pacific winds and currents do make the ships rock. For info:
